JAMES HODGES
James Hodges, born in 1981, started training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in May 2005. Prior to this he studied Boxing and Thai Boxing as a teenager, then moving on to Combat Submission Wrestling in his early twenties.
James currently holds a BLACK belt 1st degree under Raphael dos Santos (07/12/2013). He competes in national and international competitions, but spends a lot of his time training and instructing at Exeter BJJ.
Back in 2010 James travelled to Rio De Janeiro – Brazil and trained daily at Roberto Gordo Correa’s (former Head Instructor at Gracie Barra) Academy.

ALARIC MOORE
Alaric Moore is a life-long student of martial arts having watched action movies from a young age before transitioning into training in Karate, Ninjutsu and finally Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2005.
As well as regularly teaching BJJ, he has spent recent years developing his striking and wrestling skills and currently holds an undefeated semi-pro mma record of 3-0. To further broaden his skills and experience; Alaric recently returned from a road-trip around California where he ate too many Big Mac’s and trained and learnt from the best in the business.
Alaric holds a BLACK belt under Raphael dos Santos (/12/2015)
Alaric currently teaches the Gi class on Tuesdays.

CHRIS JONES (CABELO)
Chris began training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in December 2006 at the age of 18 and currently holds a BLACK belt under Raphael dos Santos (12/2015).
Chris is currently an assistant instructor at the Nogi class on the Friday.

RAPHAEL DOS SANTOS (TEAM HEAD INSTRUCTOR)
Raphael Dos Santos was born in Florianopolis, Brazil on 21st August 1978.
In 1984 Raphael started his career in martial arts with judo, in the feather weight group at the elite club 6 de Janeiro.
He has lived and taught in Brazil, Poland and California and has now made his home in Cornwall.
